Ben Folds: Paper Airplane Request Tour @ The Washington Center for the Performing Arts

Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. For the past three decades, he’s toured as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. A New York Times Best Selling author and podcast host, Ben also composes for film, tv and theater, guest stars in films and TV, and serves as the Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. A longtime advocate for arts and music education funding, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys for Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that provide free or affordable music lessons to interested school-age children. On the national level, he’s active as a member of Americans for The Arts and the Arts Action Fund. With Special Guest Lindsey Kraft.

Cider Swig @ Haub Field, LeMay – America’s Car Museum
Sep 28 @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Cider Swig @ Haub Field, LeMay – America’s Car Museum

The 11th Annual CIDER SWIG, Washington’s largest one-day cider-centered festival RETURNS!  Come for a day of cider (and more) sippin fun, meet the makers, join in a competition or two, try award winning “curbside cuisine” by area chefs and their food trucks, and enjoy live music throughout the day!

The tasting event will showcase more than 130 Northwest ciders in addition to wine, mead, beer and other regionally crafted libations. Born out of a commitment to community and the environment, and the love for local flavor, Cider Swig connects festival goers directly with the makers. And, the Swig’s Pop-up Bottle Shop is back, so you can take your favorites home to enjoy.

Beyond sharing cider and other local/regional crafted sips with the masses, Washington’s largest single day cider-centered festival highlights our region’s agricultural heritage, reinforces community friendships, promotes local businesses, agricultural and environmental organizations, and showcases regional talent throughout the day.

Each Ticket Includes: Festival tasting glass, 8 drink tickets, re-entry pass, live music and entertainment, access to food trucks, pop-up bottle shop, vendors, and all other festival activities – and an awesome time!  Additional tokens are available at the event. 21+ event.

**Ticket Range: $10 – $95

Ticket Link: https://gghf.info/swig

**Advance ticket holders are allowed to enter the field beginning at 11:30am. Cider Swig typically sells out about 2 weeks prior to the festival! Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.

Proceeds benefit the Lu Winsor Environmental grants program, which has provided more than $200,000 in grants to area schools and organizations within the KGI watershed for projects focused on environmental education, land conservation, and stewardship initiatives over the past decade.
