Collaboration for a Cause Pierce County’s Largest Job & Resource Fair @ Tacoma Dome

Get ready for the largest job fair and resource fair in Pierce County! Collaboration for a Cause features more than 100 employers and resources to connect you to finding quality employment and stability. This event is open to the public and is free to attend! All are welcome!

Talk directly with employers who are hiring for open positions right now! Some employers will conduct on-the-spot interviews at the event! On-site resume prep and guidance will be available to ensure your resume is ready for distribution to employers. Pre-event Job Club sessions are also available throughout the month of October to help you prepare for interviews and upgrade your resume.

Misery @ Tacoma Little Theatre

Stephen King’s award-winning novel comes to life on the stage.

Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his “Number One Fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads the manuscript to his newest novel and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new “Misery” novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it, and it does.

Recommended for Ages 13+

Intro to Woodworking @ Foss Waterway Seaport

Join us for an intro-level woodworking class!
In this one-day class, you will learn how to use an assortment of woodworking power and hand tools to fabricate a small, take-home project. You will be guided through transferring measurements from paper plans, cutting lumber to length, and assembly into a finished product.
