These candles are hand-dipped in red wax first to create a bleeding core, then select your outer color to finish off your stylish seasonal candle. In this class, learn the basic techniques of weaving to create your own wall hanging. Choose from a variety of colors, materials, and styles of yarn and rope to make your very own hanging art piece! While the technique is fairly simple, this can be a time-consuming process, so learners may need to complete their project at home.

Try your hand at the ancient art of rolling paper. We’ll discuss tools of the trade and learn several rolling techniques before being set loose to make your very own quilled creation. Each month we will bring you a design showcasing different quilling skills. Our theme will be a pumpkin design, though students may choose to do their own design as well.. You can make your creation on cardstock to fold into a card or a canvass if you prefer.

Craftopia: Fiberholics Anonymous meet up @ Craftopia

Do you love yarn?  Is your embroidery thread collection of epic proportions? Are hooks, needles, and looms filling your space?  Then this is the place for you!  Join us once a month for a fiber-lover meet-up.  The first Friday of every month from 5-7pm, our community room will be opened for fiber artists of all varieties to hang out, work on projects, chat, laugh and relax.

7:30 AM – Registration + Bib Pick Up Opens
8:50 AM – Registration + Bib Pick Up Closes
9:00 AM – Start of 1K Kids (Cost is $5 / Registrations are only accepted on the day of the event)
9:15 AM – Start of 5K
High School Cross Country races will follow this event

Course is mostly flat with some gently rolling hills on grass and dirt trails
Event shirts are available for purchase on site

1K Kids Awards:
Every kid receives a prize

5K Awards:
Ribbons are given to top 10 in each gender as they finish
