Join Attorney Beverly Allen for a free family law orientation and learn how to successfully and powerfully represent yourself in Pierce County courts. Avoid the most common pitfalls and navigate the family law court system with confidence with Beverly’s insights and tips. From filing and serving your case to scheduling a court hearing and entering final orders, Beverly will cover the trajectory of a family law case and what you need to know at each step. This orientation is appropriate for individuals with divorces, parenting plans, child support, adoptions, minor guardianships, and other types of family law cases. In-person and Zoom attendance available. Event is free but registration is required.
IMPORTANT: Orientation only for Pierce County. Advice will not be applicable to cases in other counties.

Tacoma Arts Live presents Kim’s Convenience: A Play by Ins Choi @ Theater on the Square

Enter Kim’s Convenience Store and meet the Kims, a loving, if imperfect, Korean family making their way in Toronto. In this award-winning play, the Kims face gentrification, a growing generation gap, and the threat of a new chain-store opening as they debate the future of their convenience store. Through it all parents Sang-Il, Yong-mi, their unmarried daughter Janet, and disappointing son Jung, learn to see each other in a new light. This hilarious and heartwarming story (recently turned into a Netflix sitcom) reminds us that family isn’t always convenient, but it might be the best deal out there. Learn the shots, terminology, and play the game in a fun, friendly environment with people at your experience level. Open to all ages, genders, and all athletic abilities. All equipment provided. Yoga Wild x TAM @ Tacoma Art Museum

We are so excited to see you for the Yoga Wild x TAM class! The upcoming 60-minute yoga practice in TAM’s main event space is inspired by art in the collection and the importance of community connection, feel rested and restored with a mellow flow that ends with ten minutes of relaxation (Savasana, pranayama, and/or guided meditation). Class will begin at 10:15 am and is lead by Casey Hubbell.

After class, enjoy a complimentary mimosa or juice at the TAM Café!
