The Peking Acrobats @ Pantages Theater
Jan 26 @ 3:00 pm

The Peking Acrobats are a South Sound favorite! They perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs; are experts at trick-cycling, precision tumbling, somersaulting and gymnastics; and defy gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control. Masters of agility and grace, they push the envelope of human possibility. Often accompanied by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments and high-tech special effects, this show delivers an exuberant performance, with all the excitement and festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival!

The Choir of Man @ Pantages Theater
Jan 30 @ 7:30 pm

Enjoy a performance that combines high-energy dance, live percussion, and foot stomping choreography with the incredible talent of nine handsome blokes who perform everything from sing-along classics to classic rock.

It is a pint-filled good time featuring the music of Paul Simon, Adele, Queen, Guns ’N’ Roses, SIA, and much more! Hear music from classic rock to Broadway, plus the show includes world-class tap dancers, tumblers, and even a UK Poetry Slam champion. Winner of the best overall Pick of the Fringe award at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival, the world’s second largest annual arts festival. The Choir of Man is the runaway hit from the creative minds of Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay – the team behind The Soweto Gospel Choirs.

Oleanna @ Theater on the Square
Feb 6 @ 7:30 pm

Named one of Time Magazine’s “Ten Best Plays,” Oleanna is a seething investigation of sexual harassment, political correctness, and the irreconcilable differences between men and women. Pulitzer Prize Winner David Mamet pulls us into a provocative power struggle where “he said, she said” reaches deeply personal and explosive levels. This two-person story focuses on a university professor and his student as they view their out-of-class meetings from two drastically different perspectives. The audience will be challenged to decided what it means to be right or wrong in the midst of individual interpretations. This drama shines a spotlight on gender politics, privilege, status and power. Oleanna may provoke more arguments than any play you will see this year. For mature audiences. Talk-back with Director and Actors on February 23 following the 3:00 PM show. Preview Night: Thursday, February 6 at 7:30 PM. For complete performance schedule, visit tacomaartslive.org or call 253-591-5894.
