The Thursday night beer run started in January, 2010, with just seven runners. It’s a social run that now exceeds one hundred runners nearly every week of the year. Thousands of people have joined this run from every corner of the region.

The Thursday night run is approximately three miles long. This distance is a night off for some; it’s aspirational for others.

Portland Cello Project: Radiohead’s OK Computer @ The Rialto Theater

Portland Cello Project is a huge ensemble including a horde of cellos, some element of winds, full rhythm section of drums and bass, and guest vocalists. This concert highlights the entirety of Radiohead’s album OK Computer, with each song carefully arranged: some instrumental, some with vocals; some whisper quiet, and others on as large a scale as possible. Portland Cello Project has been performing this repertoire for the last five years, constantly evolving and maturing their arrangements.

Victim Support Services is proud to present the 1st Annual Expand the Response Conference on January 15-17, 2019 at the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, WA. Come network with and learn from professionals at the top of their fields. Connecting criminal justice, law enforcement, advocacy, social service and mental health professionals who respond to general crime victims. Topics include: mass violence response, identity theft and fraud prevention, working with families of homicide, stalking from a victim’s perspective, active shooter response in schools and working with foreign national victims of trafficking. Join us in learning how to more effectively assist crime victims.
Our featured presenter is Captain Christoper Vanghele of the Newtown Police Department who will address Mass Violence Preparation and Response.

The Wizard of Oz @ Pantages Theater
