Craft Saturday at the Cabin -Caterpillar Craft @ Job Carr Cabin Museum

Pick up a free craft kit from the museum porch, while supplies last. First-come, first-served. Children can use the materials provided in this take-home kit to create a caterpillar-themed craft for spring. Take-home kits include all the materials and instructions needed for a fun at-home activity. Instructional videos will also be posted online. Please use social distancing etiquette when you pick up your craft kit.

Spring Break Fun! @ Hands On Children's Museum

Enjoy a spring break packed with awesome activities March 21 – April 16! Meet a vulture and an eagle owl up close. Greet bunnies and quail. Visit a Puget Sound touch tank and explore real dinosaur bones. Grate, grind and chop your way through our kitchen tool maker bench and build a collaborative town from recycled kitchen utensils. You can even silkscreen your own superhero cape. Delight your kids with daily new adventures sponsored by T-Mobile.

Enjoy a 60-minute yoga practice in this historic building that celebrates the rich maritime history of the region. Inspired by the bay and the importance of community connection, feel rested and restored with a mellow flow that ends with ten minutes of relaxation (Savasana, pranayama, and/or guided meditation).

Come check out our vehicles for sale, buy some cool items from our vendors, and enjoy some LIVE Music!
This event will be a festive environment, with our friend Mr Terry the BBQ food truck man offering a FREE BBQ sandwich to the first 100 people sponsored by Auto Auction Buyers Club Auto Sales, and will have other items available for purchase as well.
We will invite a few select vendors to sell their wares as well, there will be some entertainment on hand, and we’re going to have a great time!

Yoga and Nature Walks @ Point Defiance Park Rhododendron Garden
Apr 3 @ 10:00 am – 11:15 am

(Age 13+) Slow down and enjoy the healing benefits of time spent in nature with a mindful yoga practice. Meet at the picnic shelter at the Rhododendron Garden and enjoy a walk along the gravel trail of the Garden Loop. We will stop along the way to practice breathing techniques, mindful movement, and gentle stretches while observing and listening to the forest around us. This class is great for yoga beginners or anyone that enjoys being outdoors. No yoga mats needed but comfortable attire and shoes recommended. In partnership with Yoga Wild and class will be led by a Yoga Wild Instructor.
