Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with Nisqually Land Trust-Planting Work Party @ Nisqually Land Trust
Jan 18 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Hi everyone! Join us for a day of service to plant native trees and shrubs at Nisqually Land Trust’s Lackamas Flats protected area. “It’s a day ON, not a day OFF.”

Due to the most recent restrictions for our health and safety, we are limiting our events to 12 people plus 3 staff members on site per shift (morning from 9-12 and afternoon from 12:30-3:30). This is a large parcel being planting, so we’ll spread out in 3 groups of 5 people each (4 volunteers plus an NLT staff member) during each shift and adhere to the following health and safety procedures put into place for our events alongside the state’s overarching COVID-19 guidelines.

Please register (one registration for each person attending) for any and each event time you’d like to attend. If you show up without registering, you may be turned away.

Nisqually Land Trust Virtual Site Steward Workshop-Jan. 30th, 2021!! @ Nisqually Land Trust
Jan 30 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Nisqually Land Trust acquires and manages critical lands to permanently protect the water, wildlife, natural areas, and scenic vistas of the Nisqually River watershed. With over 7,500 acres of protected land, it is important to pay close attention to any changes that happen on the land.

Site Stewards increase our capacity to track changes, and address any negative conditions before they cause lasting problems. Site Stewards are our “eyes on the ground,” and help us better protect the critical lands we preserve.

This virtual workshop (which will be held on zoom) is an opportunity to learn about the Land Trust and our Site Steward program. You’ll walk away with all the information you need to get started as a successful Site Steward.
