Join us for this special occasion as our Cambodian, Lao, Thai, and multiple Southeast Asian communities gather to celebrate the new year! It will be a night filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, lots of laughter, and, best of all, community.
We’ve got an exciting lineup of entertainment for you, with the one and only Dj JusPlay spinning your favorite tracks from the 90s R&B, hip-hop, and of course, the finest SE Asian hip-hop. We are thrilled to announce that our very own Meanroth Ny will be hosting this incredible celebration of the Southeast Asian New Year! His infectious energy and charming personality will keep the party going all night long.
But that’s not all – there’s also a lineup of the funniest SE Asian comedians! Get ready to laugh as they take the stage and share their hilarious stories. From witty one-liners to side-splitting anecdotes, they’ll have you in stitches from start to finish.
Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to experience Southeast Asia’s vibrant diaspora culture and traditions. Let’s come together and make this celebration one to remember – see you there!
Doors open at 7 pm
Puyallup’s annual Memorial Day Remembrance Program in the Pioneer Park Pavilion. Free, ample parking, and for all ages. Performance by the Clan Gordon Pipe Band. The guest speaker is Michelle Black, a Gold Star Widow, author of “Sacrifice: The Green Berets, A Fateful Ambush, and a Gold Star Widow’s Fight for the Truth”.
Each year on Memorial Day, Tacoma Historical Society sponsors a service at War Memorial Park. 2023 marks our 16th annual event. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
This year we will feature an All-City Junior ROTC Color Guard, representing all the JROTC units in the Tacoma School District, a brass ensemble from the 133rd Army Band from the Washington National Guard, a wreath laying by American Legion Post 2 in Spanaway, and a keynote speaker.
For over 50 years, Lacey has celebrated the holiday a day early with Fireworks, Food, Music, and Fun! Enjoy The Coats at 5pm and Groove Nation at 8pm. Fireworks will be set to music at 10pm.

Scenic, mostly flat, road courses travel out-and-back along the waterfront
For everyone’s safety, pets are not allowed on the course
Prizes are given to the most patriotic dressed
Awards are available immediately after finishing
4 Mile Awards:
Ribbons are given to top 3 in each gender and age group
Medals are given to 1st place overall male and female
1 Mile Kids Awards:
Every kid receives a finisher ribbon and a small USA flag

This event provides funds to purchase shoes and uniforms for local youth runners, as well as provides a college scholarship for a graduating senior
The Fire Rescue Spectacular, July 8, is the ultimate firefighter and first-responder experience for kids! At the free street fair kids can explore a fleet of emergency vehicles, meet first responders, take the Junior Fighter Challenge, enjoy free ice cream, and so much more!
Presented by Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network in partnership with Olympia Fire Dept., and thanks to Access Partner Macy’s.
