The Clover Park Technical College Foundation is honored to offer the 3rd Annual Andy Fritz Memorial Trek as a virtual run/walk in 2020. Participate from anywhere you like!

All 5K participants will receive a commemorative 2020 finisher’s medal made by our manufacturing program and race bib. Registration will close July 17.

Your race packet will be mailed to you the week of July 20.

Proceeds from this run will make it possible for the CPTC Foundation to provide emergency assistance, scholarships, and vital support to Clover Park Technical College and its students.

Venardos Circus returns with Online-only livestream on August 1st

Tickets available for $16.50 per person to enjoy from your own home/device

The Venardos Circus, a touring Broadway-style animal free production, is thrilled to announce it will return with a brand-new live online-only show via livestream on Saturday, August 1, 2020 . Venardos Circus will perform one show at 4pm PDT. No live audience seating will be available near the performance site, just via the Internet. Access the livestream will require a ticket which run $16.50 per person available at their website here. Multi-pack discounts are available. Venardos Circus has pivoted from its usual format in response to COVID-19, and this livestream offers as great opportunity for audiences across the country and around the world to join the live event and enjoy a little circus magic from anywhere in the world.

“These livestreams are keeping us inspired to push ourselves to develop new content to share with and likewise, inspire our fans,” explained Kevin Venardos, owner, and ringmaster of Venardos Circus. “We miss being on the road visiting our fans and bringing message of love and inclusion to audiences around the country. We all still need to find shared experiences that create a sense of community and positive energy for one another as we navigate our new reality.”

Livestream will be shot with two 4K cameras including high-def sound, thus providing high-quality production value.

Fort From Home: Blacksmith Webinar @ Online

The Fort from Home series brings the talents and expertise of Fort Nisqually to you live through interactive online webinars

Fort Nisqually Volunteer Blacksmith, Paul, demonstrates how to make steel strikers at the Fort’s forge. Paul will share insight into historical blacksmithing and describe the tools made and used at Fort Nisqually in the 1850s.

Bring your queries: Questions are encouraged throughout the session (via text chat)!

Paul’s handmade strikers are available for sale at our gift shop.

Participants will receive a link to join the webinar via email prior to the session start time.

Safe Streets’ Night at the Movies Fundraiser: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood @ LeMay - America's Car Musuem

Cruise into the the Haub Family Field next to LeMay – America’s Car Museum on the night of August 29th for a social-distance-friendly screening of “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” starring Tom Hanks as the beloved Mister Rogers himself. Tickets are required for entry and space is limited, so please register to http://safest.org/movienight/ to secure your spot today!

Doors open at 7:30 PM and the movie begins at 9:00 PM.
