You know it… it is the aliveness, the spark, the vital self desiring nourishment, safety & encouragement to come forward. We paint in silence to deepen the experience.

Just show up, be present and paint from the heart.

Meditation is for everyone! Of course, that doesn’t mean we are all natural meditators. Most everyone needs help learning how to start, improve, and master the practices of meditation. ?

We will be looking at meditation to see some basic skills. The skills we need to bring into our practice to enjoy taking time to meditate.?

The basics are important for everyone, so you can expect to meet and talk to meditators with all kinds of experience. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background.?

You can drop in for any class or attend the whole series, as your schedule permits.

Mandalas are ancient symbols for harmony and wholeness

Come explore your soul through mandala painting.

(There are many ways to create a mandala painting!)

The practice of painting art is joyful, healing & meditative.

A guided meditation will assist YOU in contacting YOUR creative source, the inner artist that resides in YOU.

The mandala can be a path of self-discovery and artistic development.

Usually a mandala has a center point & has the impact of bringing people who create & view mandalas to their center and a place of wholeness & healing.

We will create a community mandala and share the energy & then YOU will paint your own individual mandala.

No experience is necessary. Lots of CREATIVE FREEDOM & guidance if wanted.

Love Note : A message to self : I LOVE YOU A Sacred Creative Nourishment evening writing and painting a LOVE Note “Dare to LOVE YOURSELF as if you were a Rainbow with Gold on both Ends” (Aber Jhani) Allow me to guide YOU in a sacred circle of LOVE to write and paint a “LOVE Note”. Prepare to let go and allow it to unfold as it may. I will guide YOU through some exercises before we start painting so that we can drop down and fully embrace our experience together. Some things for YOU consider: How do you want to feel coming to the workshop? Will you wear something that you LOVE? Perhaps a favorite piece of jewelry or a crystal tucked into your pocket. A talisman of sorts to accompany you on your adventure! When I take a minute to decide how I want to feel I usually end up feeling JOY in my heart because I made time for ME! We will play on the canvas with paints and stencils and create a fun time as YOU send love to YOUR own heart from beautiful, fabulous YOU through a “LOVE Note”. YOU will gather up all the LOVE, IMAGINATION, KINDNESS and paint it into YOUR canvas. Unguarded Art Auction @ LeMay: America's Car Museum

Incarcerated artists in prisons statewide are raising money for social justice causes and victims of domestic violence through the Unguarded Art Auction from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at LeMay America’s Car Museum.Admission is $10 and includes parking, partial museum access, tapas, and one drink ticket.

Attendees will be able to bid on more than 200 pieces of inmate-made art which includes paintings, sculptures and Native American beading. All proceeds will be split among the YWCAs of Pierce, Kitsap, Seattle, King and Snohomish counties.

You will get to design your heart with pre cut supplies such as dishes, ceramic pieces, mirrors, buttons, old jewelry and more.

The class is designed for beginner to intermediate skill levels.

If you have any special goodies you’d like to add to your mosaic feel free to bring them.

Grout instructions will be demonstrated in class. A bag of grout will be provided for you to take home .

Panel Discussion: Water Quality and Waughop Lake @ Steilaoom Library

Waughop Lake in Fort Steilacoom Park has been challenged with water quality issues for over 10 years, including annual toxic blooms that impact wildlife, pets, and humans. Join us at the Steilacoom Library for an overview of the history and water health of the lake as we hear from three local experts who will share the science of water quality and strategies to improve it. Our panelists are Dr. Derek Faust, Clover Park Technical College, Tom McClellan, Water Monitor, Citizen Scientist, and Dr. Jeff Tepper University of Puget Sound.
