Things are getting spooky with these amazing candles that bleed when they burn! We will be using very hot wax and our hands, so this class is for ages 14+ (younger may attend with parental supervision, but please contact us first).

Born in Moscow, he studied at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with the distinguished pianist Lev Oborin. In 1973, he left a flourishing career in the Soviet Union to immigrate to Israel where he quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after keyboard performers.

Presently, he resides in New Haven, Conn. For Boris Berman’s full bio, visit his website.

All are invited to a reception following the program hosted by the SAI international music fraternity.

Six Appeal @ Washington Center for the Performing Arts
Oct 13 @ 7:30 pm
Six Appeal @ Washington Center for the Performing Arts

“Six Appeal has been described as a vocal ensemble, a comedy group, and a rock band, all in one complete show. Forgoing instruments, this dynamic a cappella group based across the country uses only their voices to perform decades of classic oldies, current chart toppers, and catchy original tunes. With vocal dexterity and adventurous song selection, the group explores all genres with a wide-reaching repertoire that will surprise and captivate audiences regardless of the setting.

Even though the group’s name is a play on words and a simple accounting of its members, the name Six Appeal also speaks to the charm and attraction that these 6 voices create when they come together to produce their electrifying performance. A Six Appeal show will split your sides, feed your musical sweet tooth, and leave you wondering how in the world they pulled it off with only their voices.

With members formally instructed in singing and musical composition, Six Appeal utilizes a diverse arsenal of style and entertainment. In addition, they have a passion for spreading their a cappella music to every audience, and an essential facet of their mission is to empower young singers in their educational outreach program.”

HP Home Magical Home Paint party @ Crafty AF Studio
Oct 14 @ 1:00 pm

Bring a little magic to your home with this decorative rectangular sign from the Wizarding world!

Paint and assemble your own Home Magical Home sign with 12 interchangable HP characters, one for every month of the year. Our expert painter/HP fanatic Jenn will be on hand to guide you through the creative process (Psst, don’t worry she’s a Hufflepuff and handles newbies with great care). Learn how to paint, stain, ombre, distress, and glue your sign.

Please be aware that this is an artistic space. We use a variety of materials such as paint, resin, glue and much more. Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. We do provide aprons and gloves here at Crafty AF.

Workshops are to be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. This gives our artists time to prep the materials needed for the class. If you need to cancel, please let us know ASAP. No refunds will be given to any cancelations within 72 hours of the class. Our artists work hard to prep the workshops. We will try to assemble a Take Home Kit, or possibly a credit to a future class.
