Join us at All Faire, on June 25th and 26th at the Thurston County fairgrounds where you can immerse yourself in a fun medieval fantasy world! Embrace your inner warrior while storming the castle in interactive battles or cheer on your champions. Between battles explore amazing vendors and craftsmen on merchants’ row for treasures before heading to the tavern for refreshments, games, dance, and song.

Fire Rescue Spectacular @ Hands On Children's Museum

Kick Off a Summer of Fun at the Fire Rescue Spectacular street fair. Explore a fleet of emergency vehicles, meet first responders, and try your hand at the water-spraying and obstacle course challenges!

Explore Olympia’s Fleet of Emergency Vehicles on the Street!
• Climb aboard giant fire trucks, a police cruiser & motorcycle, and emergency vehicles
• Meet local firefighters and first responders
• See vintage fire trucks & vote for your favorite!
• Greet Sparky the Fire Dog & Smokey the Bear
• Try your hand at the Spray Gallery
• Take the Junior Firefighter Challenge
• Enjoy festival food & free ice cream (12 p.m. & 3 p.m.)

Experience More Hands-On Fun inside the Museum!
• See Dr. Science Experiments (11:00 am., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.)
• Learn how to safely build a fire
• Discover fire’s role in the forest life cycle
• Explore Wilderness First Aid with Olympia Mountaineers
• Climb aboard a 1921 vintage fire truck
• Silkscreen a poster for free or 2 bandanas for $12
• Make your own fire hat and badge in the Art Studio
• Go on a Firefighter Scavenger Hunt

All activities on the street are free to the public. Museum activities are free with admission and membership. Online reservations required.

Come out to dance and celebrate Pride on the Cambia Legacy Lawn at Dune Peninsula. Enjoy live music on the main stage from Vicci Martinez with performances by Jamie Von StrattonRachelle LaNae and more while taking in views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and Tacoma’s waterfront.

    • Host: Ceasar Hart – Ceasar is a well-known community Drag King, he will be hosting the event from 12-6 pm with two performances.
    • Host: Irene Dubois -Irene is a super host with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. You can find her hosting at Queer Bar and Julia’s On Broadway.
    • DJ Special K – You can find Kharen DJing on the weekends at Night Market and Drag Brunch Market, she is a favorite in the community!
    • DJ Miss M – DJ MISS M plays for the Seahawks, Seattle Storm DJ, and UW Huskies Basketball Mens/Womens DJ. Her podcast is heard all over the world in 100+ countries. She is a resident DJ for IHeartradio in Seattle, Portland and Sacramento.
    • DJ Zehno – Miami based DJ and winner of Dinah Shore DJ battle. DJ Zehno is a well-known female DJ that brings passion to the decks, her love for music keeps everyone dancing!
    • DJ Lauren Von Deadly – Spinning at the Splash Park!
    • Live Music: Rachelle LaNae – Rachelle is a local singer-songwriter. She creates original music for individuals, companies, film and tv. She also works as a lyricist, teacher, recording artist, performer, and podcaster.
    • Live Music: Vicci Martinez and band -Vicci Martinez is an American singer-songwriter and actress from Tacoma, Washington. She placed third on NBC’s singing competition series The Voice in 2011 and played a role in the series Orange is the New Black. She released her 2012 album with Republic Records, and self-released her 2015 album.

Tacoma’s Arts and Culture Festival

Great news for summer festival fans! Mosaic, Tacoma’s Arts and Culture Festival, returns to Wright Park in Tacoma on July 23 and 24 after a two-year hiatus.

Help kick off the weekend at 11 am on July 23 by joining the Walk of Destiny, then stay for a kaleidoscope of dance, music, art, food and family fun, set under the shady trees of Wright Park. This family-friendly, free event continues its 34-year tradition with a Kid’s Zone, hands-on cultural activities and experiences, two performer stages, as well as numerous arts and crafts, food, and information vendor booths.

What’s happening at MOSAIC

  • Food, Arts & Crafts, Community Vendors (see vendor list below)
  • Two Stages filled with live entertainment (see stage schedule below)
    • Main Stage presented by Bath Fitter NW
    • Community Stage

    You’re encouraged to wear the traditional clothing of your heritage and join us in the ‘Walk of Destiny’ a coming together and celebration of the people and communities that make Tacoma the City of Destiny! This procession around the park begins at the main stage and ends with a welcoming event featuring a dedication by the Puyallup Tribe and speakers from the community.
