Tacoma Arts Live presents Kim’s Convenience: A Play by Ins Choi @ Theater on the Square
Jun 4 @ 7:30 pm

Enter Kim’s Convenience Store and meet the Kims, a loving, if imperfect, Korean family making their way in Toronto. In this award-winning play, the Kims face gentrification, a growing generation gap, and the threat of a new chain-store opening as they debate the future of their convenience store. Through it all parents Sang-Il, Yong-mi, their unmarried daughter Janet, and disappointing son Jung, learn to see each other in a new light. This hilarious and heartwarming story (recently turned into a Netflix sitcom) reminds us that family isn’t always convenient, but it might be the best deal out there. Performance contains adult language and themes. For complete showtimes, check website.
