Join us as American concert organist Wyatt Smith presents a holiday-inspired program featuring works by Bach, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, and American composers Frahm, te Velde, and others.

Attendance Guidelines: This is an in-person event open to the public. Pre-registration is required and proof of full vaccination must be presented upon entry. Due to the vaccination requirement, children under 12 are not permitted at this time.

All attendees are required to wear masks that completely cover the mouth and nose while indoors. Seating is general admission, with social distancing between parties required. Attendance will be monitored to comply with adjusted venue capacity.

Discover books for all ages in more than a dozen genres from more than twenty local authors. Plus films, music and games from Washington filmmakers, musicians and game designers!

Christmas Regale @ Fort Nisqually Living History Museum

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of modern holidays and experience a real old-fashioned Christmas at Fort Nisqually

Everyone can join in greeting the yule log with toasts, Christmas carols, coffee roasting and ornament making. Guests will have a chance to saw off a piece of the log to take home for their own holiday fire. Father Christmas will be available for visits and photos throughout the day.

Advance ticket purchase required.

Masks are required indoors for all guests ages 5 and up. Masks are not required outdoors.

University of Puget Sound: WinterFest: A Celebration of Winter in Music and Poetry @ Kilworth Memorial Chapel

Enjoy the much-loved Adelphian Concert Choir and Voci d’Amici presenting a performance of music and poetry from many traditions, cultures, and lands conducted by Steven Zopfi and narrated by Rev. David Wright ’96.

Two concerts will be held, the first on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and the second on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for senior citizens, military, and Puget Sound campus members.

Ukulele master and jolly ambassador of aloha, JAKE SHIMABUKURO, will bring joy to the world this upcoming 2021 Holiday Season by delivering a special gift for all with the debut of his highly anticipated holiday show, JAKE SHIMABUKURO – CHRISTMAS IN HAWAII.

With only four strings, Jake is a humble master whose mission is to connect and inspire people. Whether one on one or in front of an audience of thousands, Jake shares a deep emotional connection with the listener that is open, magical, and transcendent. Jake’s genuine love for people, the spirit of Holidays, and his beloved home of Hawaii are at the forefront of JAKE SHIMABUKURO – CHRISTMAS IN HAWAII. The TACOMA CONCERT BAND, conducted by maestro Gerard Morris, is thrilled to announce a new season of live concerts at Tacoma’s historic Pantages Theater! “Holiday Harmony: a Multicultural Celebration” will be presented on Saturday evening, December 11 2021, at 7:30 p.m. After more than a year without live music, we are back, with a concert that will feature seasonal music from different countries, including traditional favorites such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and less-familiar music you may never have heard such as Shelley Hanson’s arrangement “Patapan” and Alfred Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music.”
