Craft Saturday – Holiday Ornament @ Job Carr Cabin Museum

In Fall 2020, Job Carr Cabin Museum is offering socially-distanced Craft Saturdays.
Pick up a free craft kit from the museum porch on designated dates, while supplies last.
First-come, first-served. Please use social distancing etiquette when you pick up your craft kit. Instructional videos will be available on-line a few days before each event.

December 12, 11am-1pm, Holiday Ornament
– Children can use the materials and instructions provided in this take-and-go craft kit to create a unique holiday ornament.
– We are accepting non-perishable foods for St. Leo Food Connection during this event.

These Craft Saturday events are designed to meet state and local public health guidelines.
* All visitors must wear face coverings.
* Please maintain six feet distance from other visitors.
* Visitors will not be able to enter the museum building.

Thank you to Gray Lumber and Tacoma Creates for supporting these museum events. Take-home craft kits are available at no charge. Donations gratefully accepted.

Virtual Workshop. This workshop interweaves a hands-on activity with a presentation on historical context. During the workshop, participants will make their own watercolor using the materials and techniques of the mid-19th century. Participants will learn about the artists behind mid-19th century images of the Pacific Northwest and discover their place within the historical movement to document the west.
