The weather is turning chilly, and the pumpkins are ripening! Head to a Pierce County pumpkin patch to get that pinnacle of Halloween decorations and have fun with family-friendly activities. We have plenty of great pumpkin patches in Puyallup, Enumclaw, Buckley and more. Be sure to give yourself time to go through the local corn mazes, too! Tips for visiting local pumpkin patches:
- Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Be ready for the weather: that could mean sunscreen or an umbrella and a raincoat!
- Bring cash, though some accept cards, it’s good to be prepared.
- Be prepared to walk, as most pumpkin patches are large.
- Put cardboard or plastic garbage bags in your car to keep it clean.
Thomasson Family Farm

The Thomasson Family Farm opens on September 30 with tons of family-friendly pumpkin patch fun! Highlights at their farm in Enumclaw include a corn maze, tractor train, lazer tag (weather permitting), mega slide, life-size foosball, apple slingshot and more! Pick your pumpkin out of the field or purchase one at the ticket booth. Admission is required for the pumpkin patch, and it gives you access to all the other fun activities! Picha Farms will once again be open for pumpkin picking all October long! Enjoy a five-acre corn maze, hay rides, and a slingshot game with the chance of winning $5 off your pumpkin purchase! Shop for fall decorations also. They do not have an admission fee, but you can rent space for a birthday tent for a unique way to celebrate. Dogs are allowed, but not in the maze or on the hayride.
Maris Farms

Maris Farms is bringing back all their fun every weekend in October! They have dozens of farm activities. Highlights include animal races, fishing, a corn maze, haunted woods and their famous light show! The Haunted Woods will be on Friday and Saturday and select Sundays (10/15, 10/22, 10/29) in 2023. And, of course, they have plenty of pumpkins for you to choose from! You can even plan a group event at the farm during the spooky season, with special custom packages available. Want variety in your pumpkin and corn search? Spooner Farms has over 50 pumpkin, gourd, squash and corn varieties! This Puyallup pumpkin patch also has a corn maze and other family activities, including a play area, pumpkin sling shot, rubber duck races, animal barn and more. Check out their decorative corn and brightly colored mums. They will also have food vendors, including Corndogs of the World, NW Corn Roasters, It’s Espresso on the Go, POP! Kettle Corn, Supreme Smashburgers, Just a Pizza My Mind, and TNT Mini Donuts. No dogs allowed. Parking and entry are free, though some attractions have a fee.

Old McDebbie’s Farm & Jim’s U-Fish

Old McDebbie’s Farm & Jim’s U-Fish is open Friday through Sunday through October. They have pumpkins for sale, along with plenty of fun family activities, including feeding the animals, fishing, eye spy trail, musical forest and more. Admission includes access to all activities. There are pony rides, also! Save $2 a ticket by purchasing online before going.
Northwest Glass Pumpkin Patch

The Northwest Glass Pumpkin Patches is in Puyallup on October 21 this year. Admission is free to look at over 2,000 gorgeous glass pumpkins available for purchase. Each one is unique.
