Movies and commercials present images of chic cars cruising through carved out mountains on the regular, but the reality for most people is not a shiny two-door sports vehicle sitting in their driveway. Instead, most of us opt for the sensible — and affordable — sedan or minivan that safely gets the kids to and from soccer practice.
Luckily, you don’t have to own the car of your dreams to experience the ride of a lifetime.
Courtesy Auto Service and Tire of Tacoma, located in the Tacoma Mall parking lot, is giving away a 24-hour Lamborghini rental (valued at $1,000) to one lucky winner.
Now through August 30, eligible contestants can enter Courtesy Auto and Tire Service of Tacoma’s Lamborghini for a Day contest for a chance to win a 24-hour rental of a 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4, plus dinner for two at an upscale Tacoma restaurant. (You’ll even get a $10 Courtesy Auto Service and Tire of Tacoma gift card just for entering.)
For the past three years, Courtesy Auto Service and Tire of Tacoma has teamed up with Drive Lambo to provide this one-of-a-kind experience to the community.
Rather than hosting a typical summer tent sale, Courtesy Auto Service and Tire of Tacoma Owner, Scott Welsh, wanted to thank his customers and community by offering them something out of the ordinary. “Everyone has deals going on,” says Welsh, “but they don’t offer anything quite as unique as this.”
Unique is right. Founded in 1963, Lamborghini has built around 30,000 cars in the past 50 years, about 14,000 of which were the car company’s most popular model, the Gallardo. While 30,000 may sound like a lot, put that in contrast with Toyota’s popular Corolla model. Since 1966, Toyota has manufactured and sold more than one million Toyota Corollas alone (not counting any of the manufacturers other models).
Car makers like Toyota, Ford and Honda mass produce their vehicles, while manufacturers like Lamborghini put great care into each feature of every vehicle they craft. So, while it’s common to see a Toyota Corolla or Ford Focus during your daily commute, it’s not every day you catch a glimpse of a Lamborghini cruising by — that’s something special.
In addition to providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to one lucky winner, Lamborghini for a Day also helps bring awareness to a very important cause that touches the lives of many.
As trophy sponsor for Griot’s Garage’s Hot Rods for Hearts, a fundraiser that benefits the South Sound chapter of the American Heart Association, Welsh saw an opportunity for Lamborghini for a Day to help support the fundraiser. “We’re going to have the car at the show so people can take pictures, spin the wheel and win prizes,” says Welsh.
Scott Welsh takes great pride in his business and his community, which is why this Top Shop recognized business owner is always looking for creative ways to say thanks. Whether supporting a local non-profit organization or just putting a smile on a customer’s face, giving back is always at the top of Welsh’s priority list.
Enter for your chance to win the ride of a lifetime now through August 30 by visiting Courtesy Auto Service and Tire of Tacoma online, then head to Griot’s Garage on Saturday, August 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a sneak peek at the Lamborghini during the Hot Rods for Hearts fundraising event.
